Terms of Service

    Overview

    Official Industry Access ("OIA") provides web-based tools and services for independent businesses and creators. By using any OIA service, you agree to these terms. These terms apply to all OIA services including Artist Launchpad, Artist Website, OIA Promotions, OIA Publishing, and OIA Custom Site.

    Artist Launchpad

    Artist Launchpad is a free account that gives independent artists access to the OIA platform, profile tools, and entry points into paid services. Launchpad accounts are provided as-is at no cost. OIA may modify, limit, or discontinue free features at any time. Accounts that are inactive, abusive, or used in violation of these terms may be suspended or removed. You retain ownership of any content you upload.

    OIA Custom Site

    OIA Custom Site is a fully managed website design and hosting service. OIA builds and hosts the site exclusively on OIA infrastructure. Sites cannot be transferred, exported, or migrated to any external platform or account. Cancellation or non-payment results in site deactivation — your content is never deleted. A deactivated site can be restored at any time by restoring your subscription. OIA retains full ownership of the hosting environment. You retain ownership of your content.

    Artist Website (Studio & Pro)

    Artist Website subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. Sites are hosted on OIA infrastructure and are subject to the same ownership and transfer policy as OIA Custom Site — sites cannot be exported or migrated off the platform. Studio and Pro features are enforced at the platform level. Downgrading or cancelling a subscription removes access to paid features immediately and deactivates the site at the end of the current billing period; content is preserved and can be restored by resubscribing.

    OIA Promotions

    OIA Promotions is a one-time purchase per campaign. All promotional campaign sales are final — no cancellations and no refunds once payment is processed. OIA pitches songs through the same pipeline used for major label releases but cannot guarantee selection, airplay, placement, chart performance, or any specific outcome. Campaign reports are delivered at completion and reflect actual streaming and download activity by radio hosts and directors. The client is responsible for ensuring they hold the necessary rights to any material submitted for promotion.

    OIA Publishing

    OIA Publishing is a one-time flat fee per registration tier. Zero commission is charged on any royalties earned — ever. No refunds once the registration process has begun. The client is solely responsible for ensuring they hold the necessary rights, splits, and authorizations for any songs submitted for registration. OIA does not guarantee any specific royalty amount, collection timeline, or registration approval by third-party societies.

    Billing & Payment

    All payments are processed securely through Stripe. OIA does not store payment card information. Subscription services (Artist Website, OIA Custom Site) renew automatically on a monthly or annual basis until cancelled, and failed payments trigger a 5-day grace period before service deactivation. One-time services (OIA Promotions, OIA Publishing) are charged in full at purchase and are non-refundable once work has begun. Artist Launchpad is provided free of charge and requires no billing relationship.

    Termination

    OIA reserves the right to terminate or suspend any account or service — free or paid — for violation of these terms, abuse of the platform, or misuse of any service. For subscription services, clients may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges but does not generate a refund for the current billing period, and access continues through the end of that period. For one-time services (Promotions, Publishing), termination after work has begun does not entitle the client to a refund. Free Launchpad accounts may be closed by the user or by OIA at any time.

    Limitation of Liability

    OIA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of any of its services, including Artist Launchpad, Artist Website, OIA Custom Site, OIA Promotions, and OIA Publishing. OIA does not warrant any specific commercial outcome — including streams, royalties, airplay, placements, or revenue. OIA's total liability for any claim relating to a paid service shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for that service in the 30 days prior to the claim. For free services, OIA's total liability is limited to USD $0.

    Changes to Terms

    OIA may update these terms at any time. Continued use of any OIA service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated via email.
